We all will agree, without doubt, that the digital revolution is here! And that our children will be learning both on-campus and online going forward. We are also living in a world hugely different from what we grew up in. The pandemic has shown us that we can learn online effectively and efficiently. However, there are some fundamental safety habits we should inculcate in our children. Today, they are even seeing nature through the digital media, outdoor time being limited or totally zero.

The Workshop "Safely Explore Nature Online", A Cyber-Security capsule for Children, will be led by our Volunteer Expert Mr. Sriram Lakshmanan, who is VP Cybersecurity Assurance at Genpact. He will introduce young children to digital safety and good habits. The parents are requested to join during the workshop, because Mr. Sriram will be talking to them as well, separately.

You might be wondering Why should we at Organo Et School talk about it? The Pandemic forced us to relook at how to deliver Experiential Learning online. We were able to redesign our courses such that children can experience Virtual Farm Visits, Mirrored Learning Methods for growing Microgreens and making Bio-Enzymes, and more.

In addition to this above change in the learning experience, we also know that there is a world of information and access to experts in the field of sustainability. There are also tons of case studies available online that are beneficial to students.

Since we continue to expect continuous digital interactions, we thought it might be a good idea to empower children with a set of cyber-safe practices that will help them in their online journeys.

Workshop will cover the following topics:

1. What does Privacy mean? Why is it important? How to ensure your Privacy during non-school related online Zoom Meetings?

2. What is Hacking? Why do people do that? How can we safe-guard against it?

3. 5 Cyber-Safe Behaviors everyone should practice
