On 13 Feb 2022, OES launched its 2 batch of Kinder Gardener farming program, a-month long program, at OES Children's farm campus.

The farm coach Ms.Sreedevi  Ande had an exciting bunch of 10 kids aged 6-8 years, joining her for a first exposure (for some) to soil and seeds. As she made them comfortable by asking them to introduce themselves by sharing their names, grades and schools, they seem to settle down next to their 2ft by 3ft farm patches.

Once all of them finished introducing themselves, they were given a brief about the gardening tools they had got with them. Sreedevi then told them to get the seeds. OES provided 2 leafy vegetable seeds coriander and Amaranthus to the kids. These are carefully chosen as these mature in a month's time.

This program is specially curated, keeping in mind the age of kindergarten kids, their attention span and sensorial learning experience.

The kids thoroughly enjoyed this totally new experience of touching, feeling, and smelling soil, for some this being the first time ever.

All of them even enjoyed washing up, as they got to play with water filled in a drum for cleaning up, instead of tap flowing water which they are used to!!
