We at OES Children’s farm welcomed a bunch of enthusiastic kids for the third session of the Kinder Gardener Farming program. These kids came equipped with their farming tools and buckets, all set for a fun filled farming session with their coach Sreedevi.
Today they were to have an action-packed day at the farm, with weeding and Jeevamrutam application as tasks planned for this session.
Sreedevi started by explaining to them about the wedding. All our Kinder Gardeners entered the second leg of their farming journey with learning to do weeding in their farm patches. Luckily, there were hardly any weeds to be removed in these farm patches. Once they were made to identify weeds from good plants, it did not take them much time to weed the odd one out!
Then came the next task for the day, application of Jeevamrutam to the tiny plants in the farm patches. All the kids ran up to the place where the buckets from the last session were kept with fermented Jeevamrutam. They all carried these buckets to their patches and followed the instructions given by Sreedevi. She demonstrated how to apply this liquid bio fertilizer and pesticide to the baby plants carefully without harming them. Having done with application of Jeevamrutam to their respective farm patches kids were ready for some flower harvesting fun. Finally, they were ready to say goodbye for the day to the farm and their coach and fellow farmers.
Parents were happy to take back some fresh vegetables grown at OES farm by completely following natural farming.
