We are delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Organo Et School (OES) and Sancta Maria International School as part of OES's Organo@Schools initiative. This initiative aims to assist progressive schools in Hyderabad in incorporating Sustainability Through Experiential Learning (STEL) into the curriculum of the school.
The MoU was officially signed on August 31, 2023. Meena Murugappan, the Director of OES, represented OES during the signing, and Ruchira Ghosh, the Principal of Sancta Maria International School, represented Sancta Maria. Our collaboration is focused on achieving various goals related to co-creating and implementing experiential sustainability education programs.
We are excited to share the enthusiasm of our team for partnering with Sancta Maria. Sancta Maria's Management and Pedagogical Teams have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, making them our ideal collaborators.
We believe that this agreement will further OES's mission to integrate sustainability education in school curriculum, while enabling Sancta Maria to host on-site sustainability workshops for children for a period of up to 8 months.
At OES, we are actively taking steps to develop a robust portfolio that supports the transition of educational institutions toward environmentally friendly practices and a sustainable culture. Through a variety of sustainability initiatives, programs, and workshops, our aim is to empower individuals to embrace eco-friendly mindsets, behaviors, and habits, and to promote the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, with a special focus on Goal 4: Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
As a testament to our dedicated efforts, UNESCO has officially recognized OES as part of their UNESCO Green Citizens initiative! This initiative supports local projects like ours, which are innovative, replicable and scalable globally.
Organo Et School empowers people to embrace eco-living mindsets, behaviors, and habits. We recognize that for any positive impact to be sustainable, it must be long-term and inter-generational.
Organo Et School is a learning initiative set up by Organo in 2017 and has been facilitating field visits and workshops for Schools and Interest Groups. Organo Et School has had over 25+ schools, 6500+ students, and 3000+ adults participate over the last 5 years.
