On 19th Nov 2022, My Home Jewel residential community witnessed and enjoyed ‘Maati Utsav’ a Zero Waste Eco-Fest. Organo Et School was part of this event as a contributor by organizing experiential, do-it-yourself (DIY) workshops related to the event theme. OES had set up a stall there, showcasing the programs held at OES Children’s farm.
Organo Et School organised very interesting workshops for kids such as “Best Out-of-Waste” crafts activity. Ms.Shelly Goyal, a versatile artist conducted this crafts workshop for kids aged 4-14 years. This workshop was a big hit amongst children and used all natural waste material available at home. Kids made some beautiful gift articles for their parents, teachers, and friends.
Another interesting activity at OES stall was Jeevamrutham-making DIY workshop for adults and children. The response to this activity was much above our expectations. Around 50 plus participants followed OES farming expert Mr.Venkatesh Nallamilli while making jeevamrutham with their hands. All the participants were given 1-liter bottles of this biofertilizer to take home with them.
Also, another key attraction was Organo Farm Store (OFS) stall, selling safe & witnessed farm produce.
At the OES stall, we exchanged information about our farm programs for children and adults run at OES Children’s Farm Campus. These programs will be launched soon at the farm. These will be Family Harvest 1-day programs, 1-month Be a Farmer for Teens program, Be a Farmer 2-month farming program for 9-12 years old, and Kinder Gardener farm program for 4-8-year-olds.
At OES stall different kinds of vegetable seeds were kept for distribution, to help people start their farming or gardening journeys. Another key attraction for kids was the activity and coloring sheets kept for them to choose from and engage in an interesting and informative activity. The stall received a very good response from over 200 visitors engaging in various activities and information exchange.
For OES this was another step forward, toward our mission of empowering people to embrace eco-living solutions, mindsets, and habits.
