On the 2nd of September 2023, Saturday, we actively participated in the Parent-Teacher Conference held at The Global Edge School. This event presented a wonderful opportunity for us to engage with the parents, students, and educators associated with Global Edge School.

Additionally, we had the pleasure to meet Ms. Ranjitha Rao, Director of Global Edge School, a very progressive educator, focused on making students future-enabled.

During the conference, we delved into the importance of experiential learning in the context of teaching sustainability. Our assistant program coordinator, Mrs. Susmita Changkakoty, took the initiative to elucidate to parents the various farming programs we have designed to cater to different age groups. These programs are geared towards immersing children in the wonders of nature from an early age. Many children showed interest in joining our farm programs. At our stall, we displayed 14 distinct varieties of native vegetables and leafy seeds. Visitors were encouraged to identify these seeds, and we offered them thoughtful gifts.

Our General Manager, Mr. Srinath Manda, engaged in insightful conversations with the visitors who stopped by our stall. He emphasized the paramount importance of staying connected to the natural world across all age groups and elucidated the potentially adverse effects of excessive technology exposure on young minds. Mr. Srinath also highlighted the significance of cultivating food naturally, underscoring the substantial effort and time it takes to grow food. Parents resonated with his perspective and expressed a shared desire for their children to appreciate the value of food and to avoid wastefulness.

To further empower and inspire our visitors, we distributed an Urban Garden Manual, a practical resource for embarking on the journey of kitchen gardening at home. For children, we provided engaging activity books that encourage reflection on various facets of sustainability within their daily lives.

Overall, our team had a highly rewarding experience. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the management team and teachers of Global Edge for granting us the opportunity to showcase our work and interact with parents and children. We eagerly anticipate more enriching collaborations and interactions with Global Edge School in the days to come.
