To embrace sustainability and adopt natural practices the staff of Syncor Solutions Pvt Ltd arrived at Organo Antharam on the 24th of March, a day before the festival of colours.
The workshop kicked off with a welcome address, by OES team at the Rurban Hive clubhouse of Organo Antharam.
Eco Community Tour
Led by Mr. Naga Vamsi and Mr. Prabhakar Kolakaluri, the team set off on a community tour that promised not only scenic beauty but also vital insights into sustainability.
They understood the essence of sustainability through Sapthapatha, the seven strands, emphasising its importance at God’s Own Office of Organo Antharam.
Natural Holi Colours making session
Sustainability specialist Ms. Sravani, along with her team, commenced the session by delving into the fascinating world of natural colours, tracing back their historical significance and usage in ancient times.
They demonstrated the art of extracting colours from various vegetables such as beetroot, leafy green spinach, vibrant marigold, blue pea flowers, flame of forest petals, seeds of Malabar spinach, turmeric etc.
The children enthusiastically joined in, actively participating in the process of mixing the extracted colours with rice flour and arrowroot powder while adults were observing the process. They worked together to create a rainbow of natural colours, combining tradition and modernity.
Once the colours were mixed, they were laid out to dry under the warm rays of the sun, ensuring they were ready for the vibrant festivities ahead.
Natural Holi making has fostered a stronger connection with nature, creating the framework for a celebration that honours tradition while embracing the spirit of conservation.
