On 2nd Oct 2022, Sunday participants of OES Kinder Gardener program came to the OES Children’s farm at 9:00 am.

For all of them, coming to the farm to work at their individual farm patches is really exciting. OES farm coach for kinder gardeners Ms. Sreedevi initiated the 3rd session of the program with helping kids identify the weeds from good plants. Kids sat down next to their patches and started weeding out the unwanted growth from the soil. They also enjoyed harvesting some spinach leaves by themselves.

Next, they learned how to apply Jeevamrutham solution to the leafy vegetables growing in the little farm patches. Sreedevi explained that the jeevamrutham they had prepared last time and kept for fermentation, will be used after diluting it with water in a ratio of 1:10. All the participants applied the solution as directed.

Having evenly applied Jeevamrutham to their tiny plants, all of them came to Sreedevi for the neem oil solution preparation. She helped them make the solution and filled it in their spray bottles. Using these sprayers was a fun activity for most of them. They enjoyed spraying the green leaves of the plants in their patches.

Once all the activities for the day were over, all got to taste a banana smoothie and idlies kept ready for them by OES.
