Celebrations with kids is always enjoyable and memorable for all of us at Organo Et School. This time OES Team joined Organo Antharam in celebrating the Ganesha festival at God’s Own Office at Organo Antharam, village Antharam.
On 27th Sept 2022, Saturday morning it was festive at the venue. Kids with their families started gathering for the celebrations. As the kids came in, they were welcomed by OES team. Organo Et School team helped them get comfortable with the place and surroundings….. Curious as the kids are, they expected OES to give them some interesting engaging activity.
OES had organised an interesting paper activity for kids on the topic of Saving the Earth. They were to share their knowledge about Earth and its conservation via activity sheets especially designed for children of all ages. These sheets were offered to the them, and they were to pick up sheets as per their choice and interest. And bang on this was an instant hit!!
They all excitedly chose coloring sheets, identification sheets, writing and drawing activity sheets and got started with the activities. All of them went and sat in comfortable nooks and corners or dining tables to suit themselves. It was pleasurable to see them all get busy with color pencils (made of newspaper) and organic crayons to do the activities given on these sheets. They all seem to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. Some of them wrote letters to Humanity, while others made a poster depicting earth asking for help to save itself. The younger ones enjoyed identify and match the items to correct names activities. They seem to have fun coloring the toads on one of the sheets. They all came up to submit the sheets, while some asked for permission to take them along.
Having had their fill with these paper fun activities, all of them went on to join the clay artist, for Clay Ganesh idol making. Seeing these children learn to shape the clay into balls of varied sizes, to further shape them to Ganesha, was a delight.
Leaving their small Ganesh idols on the benches to dry up, all little ones moved to the lunch area. There was a lavish spread arranged by Slow Down Place restaurant (Aziz Nagar) for this occasion. The lunch was a traditional and tasty treat for all the families as they all enjoyed it as much as they liked being together on a Saturday afternoon.
We recognize that for any positive impact to be sustainable, it must be long-term and inter-generational. Organo Et School strives to create an apt learning environment that will support and empower families as well as individuals to embrace sustainable living mindsets and habits.
