On 27th march 2024, the students of Indus School embarked on an unforgettable journey to Organo Goshala. Organo Et school team members Mr. Naga Vamsi, Ms. Sandya, and Ms.Susmita our knowledgeable guides greeted them with a warm welcome. There were around 90 students accompanied by 6 teachers and some helping staff.
Visiting the fodder grown area
The visit commenced with an immersive experience in the feed process, where the students visited the cow fodder grown area and learned about the nutritional requirements of cows. Witnessing this process firsthand, they gained insights into the importance of providing balanced nutrition to livestock for their health and well-being.

Next, the highlight of the tour was feeding the cows by the students themselve.
Under the guidance of our experienced staff, the children had the opportunity to interact closely with the gentle creatures, fostering a sense of empathy and connection with nature.
Understanding the process of Bio-gas plant
The tour continued with a fascinating demonstration of the biogas production process. The children learned about the innovative methods employed to harness renewable energy from organic waste, promoting sustainability and environmental conservation.
Engagement with Workbook Activities
During their visit to Organo Goshala, the students of Indus International School students also had the opportunity to engage in workbook activities designed to complement their hands-on learning experience. These activities aimed to reinforce the concepts explored during the farm tour and encourage reflection on their observations and discoveries.
Understanding Hydroponics
Moreover, the students were introduced to hydroponics, a cutting-edge farming technique that involves growing plants without soil. They marveled at the sight of lush greenery thriving in nutrient-rich water, expanding their horizons about alternative farming practices.
Buttermilk Tasting
A delightful tasting session awaited the students as they savored freshly prepared buttermilk, sourced directly from Organo Goshala. This refreshing drink provided them with a taste of the dairy products produced on the farm, further enhancing their understanding of the farm-to-table concept.
