The children arrived excitedly and immediately began working on their log books, documenting their observations and activities with the guidance of Ms. Sandya.

Ms. Sridevi then led a session on the soil layers, focusing on the importance of the top layer, humus. She explained how humus plays a crucial role in soil fertility and plant growth.

Next, the children engaged in weeding their patches and spraying Jeevamrutham, which they had prepared the previous week.

They were instructed to mix the Jeevamrutham with water in a 1:10 ratio to ensure proper application.

After that, they mulched the plants they had transplanted the previous week, learning how mulch helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.

The session also included a study on drip irrigation.

The children learned about the efficiency of this method in conserving water and ensuring plants receive a steady supply of moisture.

Additionally, Ms.Susmita conducted a creative session where the children painted with leaves and flowers. This activity allowed them to explore their artistic side while connecting with nature.

These hands-on activities not only taught the children practical gardening skills but also deepened their understanding of sustainable farming practices.
