On the 15th of November 2023, 57 seventh-grade students from Sreenidhi visited Organo Antharam to gain insights into sustainable practices. Accompanied by their teachers, they gathered at the entrance, where Mr. Srinath Manda introduced them to the concept of the seven strands of sustainability.

Subsequently, the students were divided into two groups. One group explored the workings and benefits of a polyhouse, while the other delved into the intricacies of solar power generation.

They received explanations about the significance of protective cultivation and renewable energy production.

Following this initial introduction to the food and energy strands, the students were led to the Rurban Hive. There, they participated in a workshop on Nature Mobile Videography conducted by Abhijith Jadhav, a professional photographer. He elucidated the basics of photography and shared tips on effectively documenting nature.

While engrossed in the workshop, the students were provided with watermelon juice and sandwiches. After the workshop, they were once again divided into two groups.

One group embarked on a farm tour, learning about natural farming methods and exploring a model villa designed to reduce energy consumption using local construction materials.

Simultaneously, the other group applied the techniques learned in the videography workshop. They visited God's Own Office to videograph the surrounding biodiversity, putting their newfound skills into practice. Upon completing one experience, both teams swapped their learnings.

We extend our gratitude to the 7h-grade teachers of Sreenidhi International School for affording us the opportunity to showcase sustainability in action. If you are interested in our field visits for your students, please contact us at 91541 00775
